What is Bitcoin Cash (BCH)?
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is smart programmable money. When Bitcoin started in 2009, it started as peer-to-peer digital cash, as designed in the Bitcoin whitepaper. Years later with the aid of special interest groups, Bitcoin (BTC) shifted focus from a P2P cash blockchain, to become a settlement layer. This significant change forced a community divide and due to that, Bitcoin was upgraded in 2017 to Bitcoin Cash (BCH), splitting and forking Bitcoin. Now there is BTC and BCH, with BCH being the newer version that continues with the P2P cash roadmap as originally intended.
BCH is digital cash, it's open source and decentralized. Some features are that it scales on-chain and has low fees. It has enhanced privacy features using CashFusion and Schnorr sigs. Since BCH is an immutable blockchain, it also has uncensorable social media, with platforms like Member. BCH makes full use of zero confirmations and double-spend proofs, making BCH extremely fast and secure to transact.
